Archive, building trades apprenticeship, Wilfred Edward Pennings, Australia, 1925-1946. Pennings (b. 1917) was a carpenter and a teacher of carpentry. This is a small group of papers relating to his technical education including reports and certificates from the Junior Technical School, Rozelle, Sydney Technical College and the Master Builders Association of NSW.

Wilfred Edward Pennings (born 21 March 1917) was educated at the Junior Technical School, Rozelle, 1930-31 and the Central Technical School, Ultimo, 1932. He undertook the four-year Carpentry and Joinery trade course at Sydney Technical College, 1933-37, during which time he was apprenticed to a Burwood joiner's shop, H. Hollibone Ltd. He resigned in 1937 and worked for a number of builders. In 1947 Mr Pennings returned to Sydney Technical College as a carpentry teacher, a position he held until his retirement.
