This collection is comprised primarily of processed negative film, prints and slides of work, community and leisure activities engaged in and observed by Snowy Mountains Authority worker Bayram Ali at Adaminaby / Eucumbene Dam, Cabramurra, Canberra, Cooma, Eaglehawk, Jindabyne and various other camp and work sites around Snowy Mountains scheme. The photographs of civic ceremonies and festivals are supplemented by a programme from 'The Jindabyne Saga', a 1967 historic recreation of the first European crossing of the Snowy River in 1837. There are also several photographs taken of sites in Sydney such as Hyde Park, the Showground during the Easter Show and Manly beach from 1955-1965. Ali also collected commercial postcards of the Scheme and nearby townships such as Cooma and Adaminaby. These are included in a separate photo album.
