The Whaling Collection focuses mostly on the Tasmanian coastal and pelagic whaling industries. It consists of harpoons and lances, whaling ship relics, trying-out tools for processing whale blubber into oil, and pieces of whale bone, teeth, baleen and ambergris. Date range circa 1820s to 1900.
