The Australian History Museum collection holds over 3,500 objects reflecting Australia's history from pre-colonization to today. This includes a number of items relating to indigenous aboriginal heritage including a mornington island headdress, didgeridus 1940 to present, yirrkala dilly bags, digging sticks, carving of a dugong by Napurrta of Banyala Homeland Community.
