A collection of films made by children and for children, encompassing live action, animation and television programmes. Highlights of the children's collection include the early work of Winsor McCay and Walt Disney Studios, the work of the Australian Children's Television Foundation, Australian animator Yoram Gross as well as some nostalgic gems like Enid Blyton's Famous Five series and The Magic Faraway Tree. For more contemporary tastes, there are Manga cartoons and favourites like The Wiggles and Napoleon, as well as shorts produced by children for Top Screen. The Children's Films Collection titles number over 3,300 and include films in 16mm, VHS and DVD as well as some digitised content, readily available in the Australian Mediatheque.
