The Australian National Aviation Museum is located at Moorabbin Airport in Victoria and is owned and operated by the Australian Aircraft Restoration Group. It has nearly 50 examples of Australian made and designed aircraft. It also has representative types covering air travel and flying machines from 1910 to late 20th century.
The Australian National Aviation Museum is located at Moorabbin Airport in Victoria and is owned and operated by the Australian Aircraft Restoration Group. It has over 50 aircraft, a number of which are examples of Australian made and designed aircraft. It also has representative types covering air travel and flying machines from 1910 to late 20th century, and has examples of military aviation and display engines. One significant object is an incomplete Consolidated PBY Catalina, A24-88, delivered to the RAAF in March 1944 that was on the mission to mine Manila Harbour in 1944. Others include the A20-10, the oldest surviving Australian made Wirraway, a rare example of a CAC Boomerang, a CAC Winjeel, A73-6, and the first Australian built Lincoln. The Museum Library has publications, films, photographs and documents relating to Australian aviation heritage.
