The Airways Museum holds a number of significant early radio Transmitters relating to the broadcasting and receiving of air transport telecommunications information.

The Airways Museum holds significant radio transmitters in its collection. An AWA J2876 HF Radio Transmitter which was built by Amalgamated Wireless Australasia Pty Ltd (AWA). One of the first twelve standardised Aeradio stations in 1938-39. http://www.airwaysmuseum.com/Museum%20J2876.htm A STC AT20 HF Radio Transmitter, built by Standard Telephones and Cables Pty Ltd of Sydney for use by the Australian military forces in World War II. http://www.airwaysmuseum.com/Museum%20AT20.htm

These radio transmitters are is significant for the role they played in the history of Australian air transport.
